St. Paul‟s Church was constructed in 1840 and enlarged in 1909 to accommodate 320 worshippers. The Church is single story and comprises a four story tower (housing the Parish office), a single span nave with centre aisle and Chancel (housing an impressive pipe organ).

The Church is a Grade II listed building and is well-maintained by the PCC; with a large proportion of work completed by voluntary support from members of the Church. St. Paul‟s is a friendly Church giving a warm welcome to anyone who joins us in our worship. The Churchwardens often receive favourable comments from newcomers with regards to the friendly and warmth of the welcome received from people at St. Paul‟s.

Faith remains firmly at the heart of everything that takes place at St. Paul‟s and we believe in one God, experienced in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and in the power of the Holy Spirit. We recognise that we are called to share in God‟s mission of love to world.

We work cooperatively with other churches in our community in the furtherance of God‟s work. Our links with other Churches in the deanery are strong and we are proud of our strong relationships with local Methodist and Roman Catholic churches.
